Biography
Tanner Morrison graduated from Iowa State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He joined University of Iowa Pharmaceutical Services (now UI Pharmaceuticals) in 2004 as a member of the Inspection and Label Control Department, where he was responsible for visual inspection, labeling, and packaging of drug products.
In 2008, Tanner transitioned to the Quality Assurance Department as a QA Reviewer, focusing on document review and metrology activities. His attention to detail and commitment to quality led to his promotion in 2016 to QA Manager, where he provided direct support to the QA Director. In this role, Tanner supported all client and regulatory audits and inspections, and was responsible for final approval of batch records, methods, testing reports, and investigations.
In July 2026, Tanner was promoted to Director of Quality Assurance following a one-year appointment as Interim Director of Quality Assurance at UI Pharmaceuticals. In his current role, he provides quality and compliance leadership across client audits, regulatory inspections, investigations, and product release activities. Known for his extensive regulatory knowledge, collaborative approach, and commitment to mentoring and developing others throughout the organization, Tanner leads the Quality Assurance team in advancing UI Pharmaceuticals' commitment to compliance, product quality, and patient safety.
