Jeff graduated from the University of Iowa in 1993 with a B.S. in cellular biology.  He began working for the University of Iowa Division of Pharmaceutical Service (now known as The University of Iowa Pharmaceuticals) as a student in 1991. He joined the organization full time after graduation focusing on in-process, finished product and stability testing of sterile injectables, oral liquids, solids, and topical semisolids. His time in the analytical lab provided valuable experience in HPLC, dissolution, IR, UV/VIS analyses and other techniques, including exposure to regulatory guidelines. From 1997 to 2011 he worked as a supervisor and then manager in the analytical laboratory managing analytical staff and various client projects. In 2011 he transferred to Quality Assurance as a manager and assisted in supervising the quality management systems associated with drug product manufacturing and testing. In 2017 Jeff assumed the Director position in Quality Assurance. He is currently in charge of Quality Assurance reviewers, Materials Management and Inspection and Label Control.
